2017 Leadership Academy
Leadership Academy Purpose
To build a diverse pool of academic & staff employees with the knowledge and skills to be successful in leadership roles at UCSC.
Staff employees (Senior Analyst PSS K – MSP V or equivalent), with a minimum of six months of service, and Senate faculty are eligible to participate. Continuing lecturers may apply and will be accepted into the Academy if space permits.
The Leadership Academy will meet over a three-month period, from January through March 2017. Each session will highlight specific issues and challenges faced by UCSC leaders. Through presentation, discussion and experiential learning, participants will broaden their understanding of how UCSC operates and hone their leadership skills and abilities. The Academy provides a unique opportunity for cross-campus networking, and for dialogue with the Executive Vice Chancellor, and other campus leaders. Three of this year's sessions will be held jointly with the Graduate Student Leadership Program. There is no fee to participate.
