Expanding your use of technology in the classroom can be a highly rewarding process. Before you begin, however, you need to consider whether changes to your course will need to reviewed by the Academic Senate Committee on Educational Policy (CEP); all new courses are reviewed by CEP.
CEP requires approval of any hybrid or online course in which the amount of time students spend with an instructor or teaching assistant is reduced. Before you begin to develop a hybrid or online course, please review the course approval forms listed on the Registrar's website (link below).
Three forms are required for CEP's review of fully online courses: Course Approval, Undergraduate Course Approval Supplemental Sheet, and the Undergraduate Online Course--Supplemental Sheet. For more information, please contact CEP Analyst Susanna Wrangell at firstname.lastname@example.org or 831-459-3358.
